20th and 21st September Frog Dreaming 2012 - connecting kids with country
It's all about kids connecting with each other and connecting to our country - we do this by using creative, interactive, fun & informative ways to achieve this. Our main themes include biodiversity, sustainable land management, waste minimisation & community capacity building.
Frog Dreaming has been held in Uralla the last 2 years, but this year it will be held at "The Hill", Kentucky, in conjunction with the 20th Anniversary of Treefest. The kids will have activities at the Treefest site, as well as other sites on the property. Part of their learning will be to be able to see what has been achieved from the original Treefest day and how the site itself has changed so much.
Frog Dreaming begins on the Thursday morning for the school students and continues throughout the day until the evening.
6.00pm - Lantern parade begins followed by the presentation of the tribal stories the kids have created throughout the day.
